Instructor Naima Nicholson is an actress, a teaching-artist, a director, a composer, a musician, a playwright, and an imaginer with a penchant for puppetry and masks, and all things new.

She went to Jacques Lecoq International School of Theatre in Paris, France, where she delved into the beauty of the expression of the body on stage and the dynamics of mask work.

She was a lead writer and director for Shattered, an adaptation of Hans Christian Andersen’s short story, “The Snow Queen.” Currently, she sits on the Board of Directors for CAP Theatre in Altoona, IA – a children’s theatre – and teaches workshops and camps for Tallgrass Theatre’s Seedlings Program in West Des Moines, IA, and acting classes with Gateway Dance Theatre in Des Moines.

The topics will be the same with both youth & adult classes, but just geared for different ages.

Prepaid $40/ 4 classes, or $15 for drop in class.
